The first part to be built for every Roadster that rolled off the production line was the tridion safety cell. This is manufactured by Magna-Steyr at 'smartville' in Hambach, France. The Roadster tridions are no longer produced but when they were, they were etched with a series of numbers which allow you to trace when the car was passing through production. Open the engine cover you will see a series of upside down numbers on the front lip. The first six digits (from the right) represent the date in the format: YY,MM,DD. The following digits are the sequential number of tridions made that particular year from the 1st January.
